Congress Centre Davos

The Davos Congress Center has the right venue for every occasion. We organize regional meetings, workshops, further education and training courses, exhibitions, lectures and social or cultural events to the "World Economic Forum".

Thanks to its central location, participants are usually within walking distance of the congress center. This proximity allows for a unique event experience for participants and organizers. With its high-quality infrastructure, Davos Klosters has the most modern congress center in the alps.

History of the Congress Centre

Medical-training courses enjoyed great popularity in the 1960s. They led in 1969 to the construction of the Davos Congress Centre, which was opened on 29 November 1969.

The first World Economic Forum (WEF, previously “Management Symposium”) takes place, making Davos internationally famous as a congress town.

As Davos became increasingly known as an internationally renowned venue for congresses, the Davos Congress Centre was expanded just 10 years after its construction.

The Davos Congress Centre is expanded again.

The success of the many congresses, coupled with organisers’ growing demands on the congress infrastructure made a third expansion increasingly pressing. In November 2007, a project-design competition was launched, which was won by the well-known Basel architect Heinrich Degelo in July 2008.
