The annual «World Economic Forum» with around 3,000 internationally recognised figures from business, politics, science and society is the flagship event for the congress town of Davos.

SGUM

The SGUM is responsible for all aspects of ultrasound in Switzerland. It is responsible for permanent quality work and quality assurance in the use of diagnostic ultrasound in medicine through the management of certificates of competence. Quality objectives are achieved through a structured course and examination system, together with the annual congress organisation.

World Economic Forum

The World Economic Forum is an independent international organisation dedicated to improving the state of the world by engaging globally with business, political, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and economic agendas.

 

IDKD

The Internationale Diagnostikkurs IDKD is sponsored by a nonprofit organisation (Foundation for the Advance of Further Training in Medical Radiology), whose aim is the promotion of further training in the field of radiology. These highly popular one-week training courses have been organised in Davos every spring since 1969.

 

pharmaDavos

Following the departure of pharmacon, who had held a pharmacy congress in Davos for 44 years, a new organising committee under Swiss leadership took over the running of the Successor congress pharmaDavos  and has been holding it successfully since 2015. Around 400 pharmacists and students from Basel University take part in the “News from Davos” training course that lasts just under a week, to keep abreast of the latest developments. The professional support from Davos Congress contributes significantly to the success of this event in a notably collegiate atmosphere.

 

WIRM

Every year, the World Immune Regulation Meeting  offers an impressive list of outstanding speakers. This makes it one of the most renowned events in the field of immunology worldwide. The WIRM is large enough for participants to learn from other scientists, yet small enough to enable them to meet the experts in person. This meeting is organised by the Swiss Institute of Allergy and Asthma Research (SIAF) Davos.

 

 

LUNGE ZÜRICH Doctors' Congress

The Doctors Congress which has been organised by LUNGE ZÜRICH in Davos since 1979, is aimed at primary-care doctors, general practitioners, internal medical doctors and junior doctors, as well as interested medical practice staff, and covers a wide range of topics. The event offers specialists as well as the industry an interdisciplinary platform for discussion and knowledge sharing, and as such provides a network for all actors in the Swiss healthcare system. The Scientific Committee of the Medical Congress puts together an independent programme each year, focusing on current and practice-oriented topics. In addition, the Doctors’ Congress is able to attract renowned experts from all relevant specialist areas every year. Over 1,000 people participate in the congress in Davos.

 

 

AGC-Courses Davos

The practical courses for open and laparoscopic surgery in the gastrointestinal area, launched in 1983, enable participants to practise on animal models. The courses are part of the further training programme for both prospective and experienced surgeons. Around 260 participants from various European countries take part in the annual courses, which are led by 70 experienced GE surgeons and clinic directors. To date, more than 5,000 surgeons have attended the Davos courses.
